Hello Lovelies!

Welcome to my first entry of Pop Me Silly!

This is actually for personal purposes of getting to know all the new and current Asian pop groups that are in existence. There are so many from Korea and Japan; even in Taiwan, China and even the Philippines!

Well, this is where I will introduce them all for those that are hearing about them for the first time, and also where I will do my best to keep updated on them as time passes. I like watching new groups very much since I get a chance to follow them as their career progresses. I may not end up becoming a die-hard or hard core fan of theirs (memorizing all their names is a feat enough!) but I will try my best to be familiar! :D I hope I can share as much as I can with all of you! Mishie would very much like learning about new groups as well!

It's fun and exciting. And some groups have very sexy members (and dance steps!) that just makes me go Oooh-la-laaah *wiggle*

And so, without further ado, I'll kick this segment off with the first group on my list (that I just discovered today):

Debuting only this July 1st (same as the 1st Anniversary of Mishiellaneous!) the four member girl group is JYP's first girl group since Wonder Girls debuted. They are under AQ Entertainment, JYP's sub-label.

miss A

The quartet is composed of Jia, Fei, Min and Suzy (seen in the photo above from left to right) with Jia and Fei coming from China.

Even prior to their debut, the group was already chosen as the endorsers of Samsungs Anycall campaign in China. The group is also said to pride themselves in language, as most of their members are fluent in Korean and Mandarin. Researching further, I also found that they'll be concentrating on Korean as well as Chinese markets.

Birthday: October 10th, 1994

Nationality: Korean

Height/Weight: 166 cm/ 46 kg

As I've read, Lim of the WG was supposed to debut as part of miss A (obviously she didn't) and instead, Min who has been a trainee in JYP for 7 years debuted with miss A instead.

To get you further acquainted with them, here are their first two videos. The first is their pre-debut single, Love Again, which was part of the Samsung Anycall campaign. This explains why the song is in Chinese, but I believe it is also available in Korean. The second video is their debut single MV, "Bad Girl, Good Girl" which was released June 31, a day before their debut.

As for my personal opinion on the girls, I quite like them. Based on their live performance, they don't seem to be that amazingly pretty in comparison to other girl groups, but I think their dancing makes up for it. I'm a huge sucker for pretty and sexy dancing and I think they exude just enough sexy to get me hooked. Their songs are also pretty in tune and I think Bad Girl has the potential to keep playing in my mind. However, I think I like more the energy they projected in their MV more than their live performance.

I believe JYP came out with this group, perhaps to match up against NegaNetwork's Brown Eyed Girls and YG's 2NE1, both of which ironically also have four members each, as well as Cube's 4Minute.

With less objectivity now, I was quite pleased with this group because one of their members (Jia) has pink hair as moi! And I now consider her to be my Korean counterpart. Just as sexy, wouldn't you say? ;) And I think I'm quite attached to this song now, as if it were serendipity, because of the song's title. Very me, I think. ;)

I quite wonder how I would look like in Suzy's outfits in the music video. I am in love with her dresses as well as Jia's lace leggings! <3

Well, what do you think of miss A? I'm eager to see what else they come up with, and I do hope that their personalities shine through even more! I think they could be even sexier. Should they include me in the group?
